The Levelland Loboettes had their Senior Night against the San Angelo Lake View Maidens where they swept the team, 3-0. The teams largest win of the night was the first set that they won 25-10, from there on it was all Levelland as they won the next two 25-15 and 25-16.
The Loboettes had six seniors going into their last few games, five players and one manager. Taylyn Ledesma, Maddie Stafford, Tanaeasia Brackens, Zoe Jordan, Mykka Bihl and manager Ashton Marinelarena.
The first set, Loboettes set the tone as Ledesma and Stafford combined for 15 service points and seven aces in the fron set. Teammates Brackens and Mia Morin combined for seven kills and that was wraps for the first set as Levelland had complete control of the game.
In the second set it was still in the hands of the Loboettes as Addison Campbell and Ledesma had a combined six kills in the set while the service line had eight aces.
In the final set of the game it was the closest set as the Loboettes won it by nine. Both Brackens and Campbell combined for eight kills and were able to surpass the Maidens in a clean sweep making fast work of Lake View.
The Loboettes overall record improved to 20-1 and 7-1 in district play. Levelland has set themselves up to possibly win district over Big Spring, whom they played this past Saturday, at home. Big spring went into the game against the Loboettes with a overall record of 12-25 throughout the season and they have a distrtict record of 4-2 taking their most recent loss to the Sweetwater Lady Mustangs in a 0-3 sweep this past Tuesday.
Levelland is leading the district with a record of 8-1 with Big Spring in second with a record of 4-2, Sweetwater in third with a record of 5-3, Snyder in fourth with a record of 2-4, Estacado in fifth with a record of 2-5 and Lake View in last with a record of 0-6.
