Loboettes end District with win over Snyder

The Levelland Loboettes closed out their season on a high note with a eight game win streak and a sweep of the Snyder Lady Tigers.

The Loboettes won all three sets 25-14, 25-23 and 25-14 with the closest set being the second and the rest was easy for Levelland.

This was the best season for Head Volleyball Coach Whitney Gibson with a overall record of 2217 winning district outright with a 9-1 record against their district teams.

The team played well with them outkilling the Lady Tigers 29-11 and out blocking them as well getting six blocks to Snyder’s three. Service was decent as Levelland had nine aces on eight service faults while Snyder had earned three aces on three faults. Loboette Addison Campbell earned herself 12 kills with one block on the night, while teammate Tanaeasia Brackens had 10 kills and a block on the night as well. Taylyn Ledesma had another six kills and block for the team while Mia Morin added a kill. Allison Monge and Trinity Wafer both addedd a block each on the night to outdue the Lady Tigers.

The Loboettes were firing on all cylinders this past Tuesday and got the job done to end district play on a good note winning their last eight games and riding their momentum into the play-offs. The Loboettes will play their first game of the playoffs against the Mineral Wells Lady Rams this Monday at the Childress High School. The game will start at 6 p.m, as the Lady Rams are going into the game with a overall record of 25-11 finishing last in their district with a record of 2-6.
