The Morton Maidens played against the All-Saints Lady Patriots as the away team where they lost 55-42.
All-Saints came into the game ready as they started off hot against the Maidens. They were able to outscore the Maidens 20-to-8 in the first quarter.
In the second quarter the Maidens were able to put up a fight as they outscored the Lady Patriots in the second quarter 14to-12.
The leading scorer for the Maidens at the half was Aerieana Rodriguez who had seven at the break.
The third quarter was the best one for the Maidens as they seemed to have found their rhythm in scoring as they were able to chalk up another 11 points compared to All-Saints eight.
At the end of the third quarter it was the closest the game would get with All-Saints leading 39-31.
Although the Maidens had all the momentum in the fourth quarter they werent able to keep it going throughout the game as the Lady Patriots were able to pull away and hold on to the lead.
Although the Maidens lost they had a good showing as they were able to keep the All-Saints team on their feet the entire game.
The leading scorer on the night for the Maidens was Rodriguez who finished the game with 18 on the night with 11 of those points coming from the backhalf of the game.
Alexiah Garza was the second leading scorer as she tallied nine points in the teams loss.
Natalie Ramirez had four points, Blaize Garza, Litzy Cerda and Ruby Gutierrez all had two points a piece and Jayden Keeling was able to get one point.
The Maidens will progress to 4-5 on the season and will go up against All-Saints in a rematch this upcoming Tuesday at home at 6:15 P.M.
