The Whiteface Lady Lopes went against the Ropes Lady Eagles this past Monday where they won 39-23 as the away team.
Whiteface came into the game ready as they dominated the game from the start jumping to an early lead in the game with a score of 12-4 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter Ropes was able to respond by only holding the Lady Lopes to three points in the second quarter and earning themselves seven points. The lead was cut but the Lady Lopes were still leading going into halftime with a score of 15-11.
The Lady Lopes leading scorer of the half was Lainey Sanders as she had five points going into the break.
For the Ropes Lady Eagles their scoring leader was Campbell Latta as she had six points. All her points came from behind the arch.
Going into the third quarter Whiteface once again went into the quarter attacking the basket. They were able to get 13 points in the quarter which was the most for the team all night compared to the Ropes Lady Eagles seven.
The Lady Eagles werent able be able to do much as they were not able to get the edge on the Lady Lopes and would eventually fall as they were only able to score five points the rest of the game.
The leading scorer on the night for the Lady Lopes was Tymmyah Olenga who tallied 12 points for the team with nine of those points coming from the second half of the game.
Hannah Blankenship was able to get another nine points in the teams win, Emma Ayers had another six, Lainey Sanders and Jaedyn Rector each had five points on the night.
Kylie Deavours was able to add another two points for the Lady Lopes as well.
For the Lady Eagles their leading scorers of the night was Campbell Latta who had nine points on the night with all of them coming from three-pointer range and Madi Reyna with another nine with five of her points coming from the first half of the game.
Aubrey Bandy added another two points while Bailey Turner had three in the teams loss.
The Lady Eagles was able to out-rebound Whiteface 27-to-20 while Whiteface was able to force more turnovers on the night with 15 steals compared to the Lady Eagles nine.
Whiteface shot the ball well from the free throw line as they were able to hit 50 percent of their shots compared to the Ropes 25 percent.
From beyond the arch Whiteface shot for 28 percent while Ropes was at 18 percent on the night.
There was only one block on the night and that was from Whitefaces side as Rector was able to block Bandy on the shot under the basket.
The Lady Lopes progress to 6-2 on the year with this win over Ropes as they will go against the Kress Kangaroos this upcoming Tuesday as the away team at 6:30 p.m.
For the Ropes Lady Eagles they will fall to 3-1 on the season with their next game being in Smyer against the Lady Bobcats at 6 p.m.
