Lobos fall to Rangers on the road

The Levelland Lobos traveled the Greenwood for UIL boys basketball game before the break, to take on the Greenwood Rangers where they fell 86-56.

The Lobos started off the game slow as in the first quarter of the game they were down 2914, with their defense struggling to stop the Rangers high powered offense.

Going into the halftime break the Lobos were still trailing as they went into the break down 5331 with most of their points coming from down low.

Coming out of the break, the Lobos keept the game close as they were able to hold Greenwood to 14 as they were able to score 14 as well in the third.

Finishing the game out the Rangers put the game to bed as they went to go on a 19-11 run in the fourth to close out the game and take the win by 30.

The leading scorer on the team was Sean Landrum as he had 15 on the night.

Ozzie Salano had 12 in the game, Jaden Castillo had another 10 along with Travion Holland and his 10 points.

Elijah Jordan was able to get Levelland three more points, Eryk Jones had thee points and Anthony Gonzales had two.

The Lobos kept the rebounds close in the game as they were able to get 35 rebounds in the game to keep up with the Rangers 35 as well.

Levelland would have a hard time keeping the ball as they would turn the ball over 23 times in the game compared to the Rangers 13.

The Lobos fall to 2-2 on the season as they will travel to Denver City this Thursday through Saturday with their schedule for the tournament TBA.
