The Ropes Eagles took on the New Home Leopards on the road where the team lost 66-28.
The first quarter of play was rough for the Eagles as they were outscored 17-to-5 in the first, trailing quick to the Leopards.
Going into the second quarter of play the team was able to turn it up as they were able to get 14 points to fall for them before going into the halftime break but still allowed New Home to get 21 points.
Going into the break New Home led the Eagles 38-19 after a lackluster first quarter.
The leading scorer for the Eagles at the half was Reese Williams as he had five points in the half.
Going into the third quarter of play it was a very defensive game throughout the second half as in the third quarter the Eagles were only able to get two points while holding New Home to nine.
For the final quarter of play Ropes was once more outscored 18-to-7 to put the game away in district play.
Leading Ropes in scoring at the end of the night was Brady Bryan who finished the game with six points.
Cutter Stumbo had five along with Williams who also finished with five, Kade Franklin had four and two more Eagles had three points in Darren Kizer and E.J. Mendez and Brennan Bearden and Landon Nale both finished with one point a piece.
The Ropes Eagles fall to 18-6 in the season while going 3-2 in distrtict play sitting in third place sitting behind only New Home and Plains.
The teams next game of the season will be against the Seagraves Eagles at home at 7:30 p.m.
