The #3 Levelland Loboettes traveled to take on the Big Spring Lady Steers this past Tuesday for district play where they won 93-4.
The first quarter of the game started off all Levelland as they held Big Spring scoreless in the first while putting up 31 points of their own with many of those points coming off of turnovers.
The second quarter of play was more of the same as Levelland was able to outscore the Lady Steers 28-to-2 and holding a 57 point lead heading into the halftime break.
Leading the Loboettes in scoring at the half was Emery Smith who racked up 13 points at the half with 10 of them coming from attacking the basket.
Going back into the third quarter of play the Loboettes would outscore the Lady Steers once more with the score 16-to-2 and extending their lead by another 14 points going into the final quarter of play.
The score at the end of the third quarter was Levelland ahead 75-4.
For the final quarter of play Levelland would once again hold the Lady Steers scoreless in the fourth while taking the big win by adding another eight points in their big victory.
Multiple Loboettes would finish in double digit points on the night as Emery Smith had 16 points, Presley Smith and Carly Tienda both had 15 points, and three Loboettes would finish the game with 11 points in Mia Morin, Olivia Velardez and Leilani Sanchez.
Maddie Stafford would finish the game with nine points on the night, two more Loboettes would finish the game with two points in Kaylee Penner and Sydnii Joyce and Tanaeasia Brackens finished the game with one point on the get two on the night from Kaylee Penner and Sydnii Joyce and Tanaeasia Brackens had one on the night.
Levelland shot the ball from the field well going for 72% while going for 47% from long range throughout the night. The team also shot for 50% on free throws, having attempted four of them on the night.
The Loboettes won the rebounding battle as they were able to haul in 31 throughout the night while lettting go of only 13 to Big Springs.
Levelland took care of the ball well as they only had 12 turnovers in their contest while forcing another 45 of their own earning themselves 26 points in transition.
Levelland earns themselves another mark in the win category, going 28-2 on the year while remaining perfect in district play with a 6-0 record.
The Loboettes next game of the season will be against the Sweetwater Mustangs this Tuesday at home at 6:15 p.m.
