Lady Eagles fall to Lady Bulldogs

The Ropes Lady Eagles took on the Tahoka Lady Bulldogs this past Friday at home where they lost 46-29.

The start of the game was a very defensive battle as neither team was able to reach double digits in the first and both teams kept it a close game with the lead going to the Lady Bulldogs 8-7.

For the second quarter of play it was more of the same story as Ropes was outscored once more 9-to-6 and trailing at the half with the score sitting at 17-13.

Leading the Lady Eagles at the half in scoring was Bailey Turner who had six points at the half.

For the third quarter of play the game would start to slip away from them as they would allow Tahoka to score 12 points in the third while only getting nine of their own to fall.

The score at the end of the third quarter was Tahoka leading 29-22.

For the final quarter of play Rope would not be able to keep up with the Lady Bulldogs offense as they let up another 17 points in the last quarter of play while only getting seven to go.

For Ropes the leading scorer on the night was Madi Reyna as she finished with 10 points in the game.

Delyla Stark had seven points, Turner finished the game with six, Campbell Latta had four and both Bree Stumbo and Rylee McDaniel had one point in the teams loss.
