Levelland Lobos fall to Big Spring Steers on the road

The Levelland Lobos took on the Big Spring Steers this past Thursday as the visiting team for a district standoff where the Lobos lost 10-0.

The Levelland offense struggled all day long as they were only able to tally up three hits throughout the game.

Big Spring was able to get on the board early on in the first inning giving the Steers the early 1-0 lead.

In the bottom of the second inning Big Spring kept it going by adding another two runs to their score extending their lead to 3-0.

The Steers had another run go for them in the fifth inning before their offense would explode in the sixth inning as they scored six runs on seven hits at the bottom of the sixth putting the game out of reach and taking the district win from Levelland.

The Lobos committed two errors and left four on base in the game.

Brayden Moore took the loss for the Lobos as he gave up five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking six.

Boston Winfield came in relief for Levelland as he gave up six hits and four runs over two and two-third innings, striking out one and walking none.

Jake Potter would finish the game for Levelland as he gave up three hits, three runs and two walks in the game.

Noah Tienda and Rance Massey each collected two hits for the Levelland Lobos.

Levelland falls to 9-11-1 on the season while going to 0-2 in district play.

The Lobos faced off against the Snyder Tigers this past Tuesday at home at 7 p.m. and get ready to go against the Estacado Matadors this Friday as the home team at 7 p.m.
