Capitol was challenged to show “Lobo Way” behavior so well that adults in the building would notice and compliment them. Each class received a 100-square Proud Paws poster and each time they got a compliment, a square was marked. When a class earned 10 compliments, they received a small prize (work on the floor, pick your seat, a special guest reader, etc) and were announced on the morning announcements. They then came to the office to sign the school wide Proud Paws poster so that when it was filled with 100 signatures the entire school would receive a reward. Capitol’s Second Grade students learned to write persuasive essays and they wrote a letter to Assistant Principal Mr. Daniel telling him that the reward should be student vs teacher dodgeball.
