The Levelland Loboettes took on the Krum Lady Cats this past Friday for UIL Softball Playoffs where the Loboettes season ended after two games against the Lady Cats.
Krum 11, Levelland 0 The first game of the day Levelland lost 11-0, after they were held scoreless and had a disaster third inning.
Krum got on the board in the top of the third inning after they had two home runs, a single and Levelland committed an error to give Krum the 6-0 lead.
The Lady Cats had two more runs in the top of the fifth inning after the Loboettes committed another error, scoring one run and a Lady Cat batter hit a single, scoring one run to make the score 8-0.
Krum wrapped up their scoring in the top of the sixth inning after their batter hit a single, scoring two runs and another batter hit a single, scoring one run to make the final score 11-0 after six innings.
Aubriana Rivas started the game for the Loboettes as she gave up four hits, six runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking one in the game.
Danica Rivera appeared in relief for the Loboettes as she gave up six hits and five runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking four in their contest.
Mendez led the team with one hit in two at bats. The Loboettes turned in one double play in the game.
Krum 11, Levelland 2 For the Loboettes last game of the season they dropped the game again as they were able to score some runs and make the score 11-2.
The game was off to a better start for the Loboettes as Angelica Gonzalez stole home with Madison Seat at bat to take the early 1-0 lead.
Krum was able to take the lead in the bottom of the first inning after two batters hit two singles, scoring two runs and Levelland committed an error, scoring one run to give Krum the 3-1 lead.
The Lady Cats added onto their lead in the bottom of the second inning after a home run scored two runs and a single by the batter scored another two runs to make the score 7-1.
In the bottom of the third inning, Krum got the rest of their runs as the batter was hit by a pitch, scoring one run, a batter hit a single, scoring two runs and a batter grounded out, scoring one run to make the score 11-1.
Levelland got their last run of the season after Saydi Mendez hit a single on a bunt to send in Jazlyn Diaz to make the final score
of the game 11-2.
Adrianna Castellano started on the mound for the Loboettes as she gave up eight hits and seven runs (five earned) over two
innings, striking out none and walking one.
Rivas appeared in relief for Levelland as she gave up five hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out one and
walking two in the game.
The Loboettes coached by Head Softball Coach Ryan Miller had a great season as they ended off with a final record of 24-14 on
the season and Bi-District Champs.
