The Levelland Loboettes traveled to Andrews Tuesday to take on the Lady Mustangs in their regular season matchup where Andrews would win in a 30 sweep.
For the first set of the game, Levelland was down 16-8 before they had to call a timeout to slow the momentum of the Lady Mustangs and get their defense set. Although Levelland came out scoreing within five points of each other, they would eventually lose the set, 25-14.
For the second set of the match, Levelland came out strong against Andrews as they took a 71 lead with their great serving and defense.
The Lady Mustangs had to call a timeout to slow down the Levelland offense. Coming out of the timeout, the Loboettes continued their momentum forcing another Andrews timeout with the score sitting at 18-11 with the Loboettes still leading the game.
The second timeout did have an effect on the Loboettes as the momentum shifted and tied the game up at 22 points each before Levelland had to call a timeout of their own to gather their composure. Levelland would drop the second set of the game, 25-22, after starting out great.
Levelland would suffer the sweep with the final score of the third set being 25-16 after they were outdone in the kill column 17-3 in the last set.
Levelland had 21 points with five aces and two faults from the service line throughout the game. Addisen Campbell, Mia Sepulbeda and Mia Morin led the team in kills with four from each athlete. Trinity Wafer had another three for the team.
The Loboettes fall to 10-12 on the season after their great showing in the Denver City Tournament last weekend where Levelland faced off against the Monahan Lady Loboes and the Trinity Christian Lady Lions in a double header at home Saturday.
The Loboettes will get ready for their next game against the Brownfield Lady Cubs this Tuesday as the visiting team at 6 p.m.
