Levelland Loboettes end season 21-19

The Levelland Loboettes played their first playoff game this past Monday night in Colorado City against the Graham Lady Steers where the Loboettes fell in three sets.

At the start of the game Levelland came out with some intensity making Graham call the first timeout in the first set with Levelland winning the set 16-12. The momentum slowed for the Loboettes after they had to call a timeout of their own after Graham was able to tie the score up at 17 a piece. Levelland had to call a second timeout after that one when they finally trailed 22-21 to the Lady Steers in a very close first set. Unfortunately Levelland wasn’t able to get their lead back as they lost the first set 25-21.

The second set was where Graham took full control of the game as they started out with the lead causing Levelland to call their first timeout of the second set with the Lady Steers leading 15-9. The Loboettes called their second timeout of the second set after they were down 21-11 to Graham after their team was having a hard time communicating on the offensive side. Levelland lost the second set of the game 25-14 after the timeout.

The third set was all Graham once more as they ended the game 25-8 against the Loboettes.

Levelland had six kills from Hailiee Estrada as she led the team, Addisen Campbell had five, Mia Sepulbeda had four, Mia Morin had three, Trinity Wafer had two and Aubree Gaona had one.

The Levelland Loboettes end their season with an overall record of 21-19 on the year while finishing second in district.

The team will say goodbye and goodluck to nine seniors in Alexis Gardea, Saydi Mendez, Gabby Pesqueda, Devanee Almager, Allison Monge, Addisen Campbell, Aubree Gaona, Mia Morin and Danica Rivera.
