The Levelland Lobos traveled to Monahans to take on the Loboes where Levelland won in a close game 59-56.
In the first quarter it was Monahans that won the scoring battle 13-9 taking a four point lead going into the second quarter.
The second quarter was more of the same story as the Loboes were able to outscore Levelland again, this time 16-12, going into the halftime break with the lead 29-21.
Coming out of the halftime break though, Levelland found their rythm as they scored 20 points in the third while holding Monahans to 11 points, cutting the deficit down to one point going into the final quarter of play.
For the final quarter Levelland was able to take the lead for the first time in the game where they would win by three points over Monahans.
Two Lobos led the team in scoring with Eryk Jones and Elijah Jordan both having 14 points on the night. Graham Gibbs had 13, Bryson Golightly had eight, Ethan Salazar had seven, Ozzie Solano had two and Eli Randol had one.
Levelland lost in the rebounding column as they were able to grab 30 rebounds while Monahans had 37 in the contest.
The Levelland Lobos progress to 5-2 on the season as they get ready to take on the Brownfield Cubs this Friday on the road at 7:30 p.m.
