The Levelland Loboettes complete the series sweep over the Estacado Lady Mats this past Friday night on the road after they won 43-30.
It was a close game in the first half throughout their contest as the Loboettes outscored the Lady Mats 10-9 in the first quarter, taking a one-point lead.
The second quarter of the game was more of the same story as Levelland extended their lead, outscoring Estacado six-to-four making the score 15-14 at the halftime break.
Coming out of the break, the Loboettes came out strong as their defense did well holding the Lady Mats to seven points while they put up another 14 of their own to outscore Estacado and make the lead 29-21, going into the fourth quarter.
The final quarter of the game had the Loboettes putting the game away as they outscored Estacado for the final time 19-8 to take the big district win.
Levelland had three leading scorers in Leilani Sanchez, Emery Smith and Presley Smith all finishing with nine points a piece. Kaylee Penner had eight, Trinity Wafer had four, Sydnii Joyce had three points and Brooklyn Cornish finished with one point.
The Loboettes shot the ball from the field at 39% while going 20% from long range and 52% from the charity stripe throughout the game.
The Levelland Loboettes progress to 23-5 on the season while going up to 6-1 in district play. The Loboettes next game of district play is against the Big Spring Steers this Friday on the road at 6:15 p.m. after going against the Lubbock Cooper Liberty Lady Patriots this Tuesday at home.
