ROBERT 'DOUG' SCOTT
Church service for Robert Douglas 'Doug' Scott, age 75, of Morton, Texas, was scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 21, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Morton where Rush Coffman of Morton officiated.
Burial was in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Doug died Sunday, Aug. 16 in Morton. He was born Oct. 28, 1950 in Morton to George Robert and Audrey (Kelly) Scott.
Doug served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He loved to race dragsters and cruising his Harleys all over the country. He was an avid music fan, especially rock and roll and even played some guitar. Doug enjoyed golf and was always up for a good meal. He loved coaching his kids in little league as well. Doug worked in the oil and gas industry for 30 plus years and did handy-man work on the side. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Scott.
Doug is survived by his two sons, Greg Scott and his wife, Shawn of Morton, Texas and Brad Scott and his wife, Meggan of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Susan Lamb of Lubbock, Texas; his one and only niece, Danielle Dobson; his six grandchildren, Dustin Dayton, Logan Garner, McCade Garner, Brody Scott, Ryann Scott and Maylee Scott; three greatgrandchildren and two more on the way.
