Morton Indians Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Keith Mauldin has stepped down from his role with the school after two years.
Coach Mualdin’s first year with the football team he accumulated a 6-6 record, the best season the team has had in 14 years, and took them to the Area Round of playoffs where they beat Lockney in the bi-district round 31-22, then lost in the Area Round to Wellington 70-0.
Coach Mauldin has his Masters in Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy, Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas Tech University and Graduated from Bushland High School.
His philosophy while coaching was “In football, we like to play with a mindset of no fear. We will be aggressive in our approach to the game, take risks and have fun playing this wonderful game. There’s a lesson to be learned in every outcome and our goal is to continue to learn while we are blessed to play.”
We wish the best of luck to Coach Mauldin and his family Ginger, Lily, Emma, Eleanor and Cyrus Mauldin on their future endeavors.
