The Smyer Bobcats took a big third quarter to the win column last Monday with a 58-32 win over the host Loop Longhorns in UIL High School Basketball action.
Loop kept it tight early. The Bobcats led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 22-21 at halftime.
Smyer came out firing in the third quarter, outscoring the Longhorns 24-6 and cruising to the win with a 13-4 fourth quarter.
Rylan Smith had 22 points. Brayden Wade had 15. Ryann Gutierrez had seven. Micah Zapata and Mason Medart had four each. Austin Martinez, Skylar Pond and Micah Stevens had two a piece.
The Bobcats will host the Ropes Eagles on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
