Loboettes dominate Big Spring

The Levelland Loboettes took their talents to Big Spring Tuesday where they dominated the Lady Steets, 3-1.

The team put the game away in four sets with an accumulative score of 42-16 on the evening. The scores for the sets were 2517, 25-13, 22-25 and 25-20.

The Loboettes came into the game ready to play as both Taylyn Ledesma and Addison Campbell had five point service runs and ten kills. That helped the Loboettes dominate the first set as Big Spring was not ready for the Loboettes to come out swinging.

In the second set it was more of the same story as the girls didnt let the Lady Steers get back on track and kept the pressure on the team.

Alexis Gardea went on a eight point run with three aces and Tanaesia Brackens had another four kills and two blocks in the second set alone.

The Loboettes eventually slowed down as the rest of their sets were won in a competitive fashion, but they were good enough to put the game away in just four sets.

Brackens had 14 kills along with a block while Campbell had 10 kills and a block. Ledesma and Trinity Wafer both had six kills while Mia Morin, Hailee Estrada and Allison Monge each had two kills throughout the match.

Ladesma had a perfect game as she went 25-25 from the service line and had 15 points on four aces on the night. Campbell also had things on lock as she went 19-19 from the service line with 11 points. Gardea added another 10 points to the teams total on three aces coming from her.

The Loboettes had a dominant game that they will need to carry over into their game that they played Saturday against the Snyder Lady Tigers.

The Loboettes improved their record to16-17 on the year.

Snyder went into the game with a record of 4-21 and hope to steal a game away from Levelland.

Snyder is coming off a road win against Estacado which they won in four sets, 3-1.
