Loboettes tame Brownfield in five sets

The Levelland Loboettes took on the Brownfield Lady Cubs this past Tuesday where the Loboettes won in five sets on the road.

For the first set of the game, Levelland struggled against the Lady Cubs where they lost 25-22 in a close one.

The second set of the game was more of the same except the Loboettes flipped the momentum taking the 25-23 win over Brownfield from their great defense.

Both teams were evenly matched as Levelland and Brownfield traded blows but the Lady Cubs eventually took the third set 25-22 in another close game.

In the final two sets of the game Levelland completely dominated the game from start to

finish with the last set of the game being won by the Loboettes 15-4.

Levelland outdid the Lady Cubs in the kill column 27-to-24 with Addisen Campbell leading the team with nine. Trinity Wafer had six and Mia Sepulbeda had five.

In the block column it was all Levelland again as they had five compared to Brownfield’s one on the night. Hailiee Estrada led the team with two while Campbell, Sepulbeda and Wafer each had one a piece.

The Loboettes had six aces on the night with three coming from Alexis Gardea and Mia Morin with 13 points a piece in their win.

Levelland progressed to 1114 on the season with their next game of the season going up against the Seminole Maidens next Tuesday on the road at 6 p.m.
