The Levelland Loboettes hosted the Snyder Lady Tigers this past Friday for district play in basketball where the girls won 7129.
The first quarter of the game started off well for Levelland as they went into the game with five different players scoring on the night, getting 22 points, while holding the Lady Tigers to five points scored in the first.
The second quarter was more of the same for the Loboettes as they were able to outscore Snyder 18-6 and extend their lead going into the halftime break.
The score at the half was Levelland leading 40-11.
Leading the Loboettes in scoring at the half was Presley Smith as she had 11 points at the half, nine of them coming from beyond the arch.
Going into the third quarter of play the Loboettes were able to get the same production from the second quarter as they had another 18 points fall for them while they held the Lady Tigers to nine points.
Going into the final quarter of play Levelland would take the win with a big margin due to their defense and being able to capatalize off of turnovers.
Presley Smith led the team in scoring off the bench with 22 points, 11 of those points coming from the back half of play.
Carly Tienda had 16 points on the night along with Leilani Sanchez’s 10 points, both girls were able to finish in double digit points.
Emery Smith had nine, Olivia Velardez had eight points and Mia Morin, Sydnii Joyce and Maddie Stafford all finished with two points in the teams win.
Levelland progresses to 29-2 on the season while staying undefeated in district play with a perfect 7-0 record on the year.
The Loboettes next game of district play is against the Estacado Lady Mats this Friday as the visiting team at 6:30 p.m.
