Loboettes volleyball team splits wins, losses

Levelland Loboette volleyball travelled on Tuesday for a double header against the Klondike Lady Cougars and Talkington Lady Warriors.

Levelland fell to Klondike 3-1 but came back to beat Talkington 3-0. During the first match against the Lady Cougars, Levelland dropped game one 25-14, but recovered to take game two 25-20. Levelland lost in game three 25-14 and game four 25-22.

Levelland outkilled Klondike 36-34, but the Lady Cougars claimed the blocking column 6-5.

Lola Potter led with 10 kills, while Mia Sepulbeda had nine kills and a block. Abigail Heseman had seven kills and a block, and Kamryn Navarro had six kills and two blocks.

Levelland had 74 serves, scoring 33 points with 11 faults and 10 aces. Klondike had 94 serves, scoring 50 times with six faults and nine aces.

Leading in service points for Levelland was Heseman with 10 points and four aces, with Sepulbeda scoring nine points and two aces, and London Branch, seven points and one ace.

Levelland swept the Lady Warriors, winning the three games 25-13, 26-24 and 25-21.

Levelland served 75 times, scoring 49 points with nine faults, and 15 aces. Talkington came in with 57 serves, scoring 32 times with four faults and eight aces.

Loboette service point leaders were Heseman, Potter and Branch, taking 10 service points each. Potter led the team with six aces, with Heseman and Branch each having three aces. Sepulbeda and Navarro both scored nine service points.

Levelland outkilled the Lady Warriors 3111 and out blocked them 2-1.

Leading the kill column for the Loboettes was Sepulbeda with 10, followed by Navarro and Heseman with seven. Heseman had two blocks.

Levelland is 7-14 on the season with one more non-district matchup left. They will host the Monahans Lady Loboes at noon.
