Lobos down Bobcats 81-41, at home

The Levelland Lobos played their second game of the UIL Boys High School Basketball season against the Dimmitt Bobcats at home where they won 81-41, due to a second half rally.

The Lobos started off the game with a small lead of seven points in the first quarter.

The Bobcats rallied going into the half time break the Lobos trailed the Bobcats 32-to-30.

After that, it was all Levelland as they came out of the break. Defensively they didnt allow any easy buckets and offensively they made most of theirs off the bench.

Levelland went on a 51-tonine run in the second half to win in dominant fashion against Dimmitt.

The leading scorer for the Lobos was Travion Holland coming off of the bench and tallying 26 points on the night.

Eryk Jones was able to rack up 16 points, Sean Landrum had 13 points, Ozzie Solano had eight, Elijah Jones and Ivien Jackson each had five and Jaden Castillo and Graham Gibbs had three a piece.

Anthony Gonzales had another two while Ethan Salazar added another point in the win.

Holland lit up the Bobcats from behind the arch hitting seven three pointers throughout the game.

The Lobos did well defensively as they were able to force 26 turnovers and get nine points off of those turnovers.

The Levelland Lobos advance to 1-1 on the season with this win. They traveled to Slaton this Friday to take on the Tigers.

The Tigers went into the game against the Lobos with a 0-1 record on the year after their loss against the Kermit Yellow Jackets 53-51.
