The Ropes Boys’ Varsity Track Team was named district champions while the Rope Girls’ Track Team earned sixth placed in the UIL 2A District 5 Track Meet this past week.
The district meet was held in Sundown between Wednesday and Thursday with boys’ and girls’ Varsity and JV track teams from Ropes, Sundown, Smyer, Whiteface and Morton competing.
Results are broken down by school and boys’ and girls’ teams for Varsity.
Ropes Boys’ Varsity
The Ropes Varsity Boys’ Track Team placed first with 170 points.
In the 100 Meter Finals, Kolter Dockery placed first with a time of 11.14 and Mason Marmolejo placed second with a time of 11.34.
In the 100 Meter Prelims, Bode Franklin placed 10th with a time of 12.35.
In the 200 Meter Finals, Reese Williams placed first with a time of 23.37, Bode Franklin placed second with a time of 23.72 and Zayden Pittman placed sixth with a time of 24.67.
In the 400 Meter Finals, Ryland Kieth placed fourth with a time of 56.26 and Maddux Sierra placed sixth with a time of 57.11.
In the 800 Meter Finals, Chase Schumm placed sixth with a time of 2:11.37.
In the 1600 Meter Finals, Chase Schumm placed third with a time of 4:54.63.
In the 3200 Meter Finals, Chase Schumm placed fourth with a time of 10:49.46.
In the 110 Meter Hurdles, Brayden Hogg placed third with a time of 18.92, Mike Williams placed fourth with a time of 19.59 and Radley Partington placed sixth with a time of 20.92.
In the 300 Meter Hurdles, Radley Partington placed sixth with a time of 47.35 and Mike Williams placed eighth with a time of 48.35.
In the 4x100 Meter Relay Finals, Mason Marmolejo, Maddux Sierra, Branson Simental and Kolter Dockery placed first with a time of 43.77.
In the 4x200 Meter Relay Finals, Mason Marmolejo, Branson Simental, Kaden Riker and Kolter Dockery placed first with a time of 1:31.49.
In the 4x400 Meter Relay Finals, Branson Simental, Ryland Kieth, Kaden Riker and Maddux Sierra placed fourth with a time of 3:38.49.
In the Shot Put Finals, Victor Saenz placed first with a distance of 45' 7', Tyler Harbuck placed second with a distance of 42' 10' and Broxton Varnell placed 39' 7'.
In the Discus Finals, Kaden Riker placed first with a distance of 142' 11', Victor Saenz placed third with a distance of 103' 6' and Tyler Harbuck placed 11th with a distance of 75' 3'.
In the High Jump Finals, Kolter Dockery placed fifth with a height of 5' 4', Radley Partington placed seventh with a height of 5' 2' and Bode Franklin placed seventh with a height of 5' 2'.
In the Pole Vault Finals, Mike Williams placed first with a height of 11’6', Zayden Pittman placed second with a height of 11' 6' and Radley Partington placed sixth with a height of 8' 6'.
In the Long Jump Finals, Radley Partington placed 16th with a distance of 16' 1.5' and Mike Williams placed 17th with a distance of 15' 4.75'.
Ropes Girls’ Varsity
The Ropes Girls’ Varsity Track Team earned sixth place in the district meet with 43 points.
In the 100 Meter Prelims, Marlee Molina placed ninth with a time of 14.25.
In the 200 Meter Prelims, Braedyn Reyna placed 10th with a time of 30.22 and Vivan Gallegos placed 13th with a time of 32.83.
In the 400 Meter Finals, Annabelle Falls placed sixth with a time of 1:07.56 and Lila Forsythe placed eighth with a time of 1:08.92.
In the 800 Meter Finals, Macie Lehnen placed fifth with a time of 2:58.77 and Aynika Riley placed seventh with a time of 3:05.90.
In the 1600 Meter Finals, Laila Riley placed fifth with a time of 6:26.25, Macie Lehnen placed eighth with a time of 7:07.03 and Aynika Riley placed ninth with a time of 7:14.17.
In the 3200 Meter Finals, Dacey Feldman placed seventh with a time of 15:48.59 and Cali Clemons placed eighth with a time of 18:19.17.
In the 4x100 Meter Relay Finals, Mallorie Perez, Marlee Molina, Ella Reeves and Braedyn Reyna placed seventh with a time of 58.22.
In the 4x200 Meter Relay Finals, Mallorie Perez, Braedyn Reyna, Lila Forsythe and Marlee Molina placed fifth with a time of 1:58.60.
In the 4x400 Meter Relay Finals, Annabelle Falls, Lila Forsythe, Vivian Gallegos and Adalyn Falls placed fifth with a time of 4:59.99.
In the Shot Put Finals, Jillian Reeves placed eighth with a distance of 25' 1'.
In the Discus Finals, Madelyn Reeves placed fourth with a distance of 73' 7' and Jillian Reeves placed fifth with a time of 70' 4'.
