The Olton Mustangs traveled to take on the Ropes Eagles on Friday where the Eagles won 47-0, shutting out the Mustangs.
From the first quarter of the game, Ropes was in complete control after they scored three touchdowns on offense and one interception returned for a touchdown in the first quarter to make the score 26-0.
For the second quarter of the game, Ropes had one touchdown from 26-yards out to make the score 33-0 at the halftime break.
The Eagles had two more touchdowns in the second half to make the final score 47-0 after their defense held Olton to zero points.
The offense steam-rolled the Mustang defense as they had 305 yards of total offense with 141 yards going through the air and the rest of the 164 yards on the ground.
Kade Franklin threw for 115 yards and three touchdowns with one interception on the game.
Zayden Pittman threw a touchdown as well from 26-yards out.
Kolter Dockery led the team in rushing yards as he had one carry from 50-yards out for a touchdown.
Mason Marmolejo had 10 carries for 45 yards as well. Rylan Kieth had 10 carries for 39 yards and one touchdown, Pittman had
three carries for 25 yards, Kaden Riker had three carries for 19 yards and Jacob Wyatt had two carries for four yards.
Colton Mortensen led the team in receiving yards with three catches for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
Marmolejo was right behind him with two catches for 62 yards and one touchdown. Dockery had one catch for 10 yards with
one touchdown and Reese Williams had one catch for six yards.
The Ropes defense held strong as they held the Olton offense to 31 passing yards and 22 rushing yards.
The Eagles were able to force five turnovers with three interceptions and two forced fumbles on the night.
Riker and Kanon Buckner both led the team in tackling with 13 total tackles each in the game.
Victor Saenz had 11 tackles, Mike Sanchez had 10 tackles, Reid McCaleb had nine tackles, Trak Crow, Brady Bryan and Williams
all had six tackles a piece, Kieth, Maddux Sierra and Jackson Lehnan all had five tackle a piece, Jace Fowler and Jacob Wyatt
both had four tackles a piece, Pittman and Branson Simental had three tackles each, Brayden Hogg, Dockery and Tyler Harbuck
each had two tackles each and Mike Williams and Gabe Sanchez each had one tackle.
The Eagles had six sacks in their game with Reese, Riker, Wyatt, Flores, Buckner and Lehnen all having one a piece.
The Ropes Eagles remain undefeated with a 4-0 record as they get ready to take on the Forsan Buffaloes who are coming
off of a 46-6 loss to Wink on the road.
