Ropes High School held their Athletic Awards Banquet for the 2025-26 sports year this past Monday night in the school cafeteria, presenting 43 athletic special merit awards to numerous athletes.
For the Outstanding Eagle award, which is across all sports, Addie Mae Falls won the girls award, and Kade Franklin and Ryland Kieth co-won the boys' award.
For the Academic award, which is across all sports, Carson Beck won the girls award and Brayden Hogg won the boys award.
For the Fighting Eagle award, which is across all sports, Braedyn Reyna won the girls award and Jaivyth Cruz won the boys award.
For cross country, Laila Riley was the Girls Most Valuable Player and Chase Schumm was the Boys MVP. For volleyball, Allye Bandy was the MVP, Brylee Lauderdale was the Offensive MVP, Braedyn Reyna was the Defensive MVP and Addi Crunk won the Fighting Heart award.
For football, Zayden Pittman was the MVP, Ryland Kieth was the Offensive MVP, Junior Saenz was the Defensive MVP, Kanon Buckner won the Best Lineman award and Jack Lehnen won the Fighting Heart award.
For girls basketball, Brooklyn Hogg was the MVP, Zailyn Wylie was the Offensive MVP, Rylie Lester was the Defensive MVP and Annabelle Falls won the Fighting Heart award.
For boys basketball, Kade Franklin and Cutter Stumbo were Co-MVPs, Branson Simental was the Offensive MVP, Kolter Dockery was the Defensive MVP and Kaden Riker won the Fighting Heart award.
For powerlifting, Cerissa Mireles was the Girls MVP and Gunnar Whitaker was the Boys MVP.
For golf, Mikah Woodley was the Girls MVP, and Cut ter Stumbo and Ryland Kieth were the Co-Boys MVPs.
For girls track, Zailyn Wylie won the Top Field Event Athlete award and Addi Mae Falls won the Top Runner award. For boys track, Junior Saenz and Kaden Riker co- won the Top Field Event Athlete award and Kolter Dockery won the Top Runner award.
For softball, Braedyn Reyna was the MVP and Pitcher of the Year, Ezmeralda Saenz won the Silver Slugger award, Marlee Molina won the Gold Glove award and Kambry Turner was the Newcomer of the Year.
For baseball, Maddux Sierra was the MVP, Kade Franklin won the Silver Slugger award, Ryland Kieth won the Gold Glove award, Elijah Flores was the Pitcher of the Year, and Zach Ramirez and Jaivyth Cruz were the Co-Newcomers of the Year.
