The Sundown Roughettes faced-off against the Seagraves Lady Eagles this past Tuesday on the road as they won the game 57-19 for their fifth district game of the season.
The first quarter of the game was all Sundown as they were able to outscore the Lady Eagles 16-to-4 taking a big lead early in the game.
For the second quarter of play it was more of the same story as the Roughettes would get another 16 points to fall for them while holding Seagraves to only three points scored before halftime.
Going into the halftime break Sundown held a big 32-7 lead.
For the Roughettes, leading the team in scoring at the halftime break would be athletes Allie McCormick and Camry Jourden who both had 11 going into the break.
The third quarter of the game for the Roughettes would slow down for offense but hold good for defense as they would outscore Seagraves 10-to-6 and hold their lead strongly as they would go into the fourth quarter with the score sitting at 42-13.
For the final quarter of play Sundown played keep away as they would run away with the game and outscoring Seagraves in the fourth 15-to-6 and taking the big district win.
Leading the team in scoring would be McCormick as she finished the game with 19 points on the night with 12 of them coming from inside the paint.
Jourden would finish with 17 on the night, Hannah Holdman finished with nine, Yaya Lopez had five, Emily Rodgers had three and Kyndal Taggart finished the game with two points for their game.
The team progressed to 1311 on the year while moving up to 3-2 in district play.
The Roughettes next game of the season will be against the Plains Cowgirls at home at 6:00 p.m.
