The Sundown Roughettes played against Post this past Tuesday for the teams first district game of the season where they won 63-21, on the road.
Sundown came out of the locker room on fire as they set the tone of the game early taking a 300 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Second half they outscored Post 8-to-7 extending their lead by one. Sundown went into the halftime break with the lead 38-7.
Responsible for the Roughettes big lead was Allie McCormick who had 16 points with all of them coming from down low in the paint.
In the second half it was all Sundown as they were able to outscore Post 23-to-14 in the second half of the game.
The leading scorer for the Roughettes would be McCormick, as she finished the game with 27 points.
Aria Hogan finished with 11 on the night, Hannah Holdman had nine, Kyndal Taggart had six, Kadee Riley had three, Yaya Lopez and Emily Rodgers both finished with two a piece. Camry Jourden, Aubrey Rodgers and Talia Acevedo all finished with one point on the night.
Sundown took the comfortable win to improve their record to 2-1 in district play while going 9-9 throughout the season. The Roughettes wont play until December 27-29 to compete in the Littlefield tournament that is happening over the weekend after Christmas.
