The Whiteface Antelopes continued their undefeated season with a 62-12 road win over the Meadow Broncos in UIL District 3-1A1 high school sixman football action last Friday.
Whiteface led 54-6 at the end of the first quarter and 62-12 at halftime when the game was called due to the 45-point rule.
The rule, used in six-man football, requires a game to be called whenever one team leads by 45 points or more at or after halftime.
The Antelopes’ offense racked up 120 yards passing with five touchdowns and 101 yards rushing with three scores.
The Whiteface defense held Meadow to 86 yards passing with two touchdowns on a 6-for-15 performance by three passers and -36 yards rushing.
Isaak Soliz went 3-for-4 passing for 71 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremiah Rendon went 2-for-2 for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
Cesar Chavez had 36 yards receiving on two touchdown catches. Rendon had a single 35yard catch for a touchdown.
Auscar Gandara had a 34yard touchdown catch and Axel Rivera had a touchdown catch for 15 yards.
Rendon had three carries for 52 yards with a touchdown and a fumble. Ethan Kauffman had five carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
Soliz and Luke Gresham each had a carry for no yardage with a fumble.
Victor Borunda had a 32-yard kick return and Damian Castaneda had a return for 20 yards.
Gresham had four tackles. Chavez, Soliz, Gandara, Kauffman and Jaxon Hodge had two tackles each.
Soliz also had two assists, while Gandara, Hodge and Kauffman each had a sack.
Borunda, Rendon and Tyler Campbell had a tackle apiece. Rendon also had an assist on a sack.
Whiteface is at home on Friday, hosting the O’Donnell Eagles as district play continues.
