Lady Eagles fall to New Home

The Ropes Lady Eagles fell to the visiting Lady Leopards from New Home 44-25 last Tuesday in UIL district 2A-5 girls’ high school basketball action. New Home was ranked fifth in class 2A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches at the time of the game.

Panthers tame Lions in OT

The Class 1A Whitharral Panthers came away with a 97-89 road win in overtime against the Class 2A New Deal Lions last Tuesday. Whitharral trailed the Lions 19-17 at the end of the first quarter and 40-34 at halftime. The third quarter saw the Panthers come back to tie the score at 52 at the buzzer.
