LEVELLAND — Former South Plains All-American Vernon Norwood added to his medal count over the weekend in the men’s 4x400 relay, leading Team USA to an Olympic record at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.

The Levelland Loboettes hosted the Denver City Lady Mustangs this Tuesday in their season opener where they fell in a clean 3-0 sweep.The first set the Loboettes kept it close as they lost 25-20, dropped the second set 25-22 and lost the final set 25-21.

On Saturday, the City of Sundown held their annual Oil Patch Day event at City Park. A large number of vendors participated in the event. Pictured is Moe Longoria who makes beautiful homemade crosses with the lords prayer. Longoria was one of the many vendors in attendance.
