PAINTING FUN- Capitol Elementary rewards Kids w/Character every nine weeks. Students are choosen by their teachers. REGIONAL CHAMP - Cash Crutcher from Whiteface is a State Qualifier as he set new record in three different categories for his 114lb weigh class with a 420lb squat, 315lb bench and new total with 1055 lbs to become the regional champion. Hayden Sowers named WJCAC Coach of the Year

Second-year head coach Hayden Sowers has been tabbed the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year! Sowers has led the Texans to a 28-2 record to date, including a 14-2 mark in the WJCAC, and the Western Junior College Athletic Conference title.

WEATHERFORD — The South Plains College women’s basketball team fell to No. 4 Collin County 71-53 in the quarter-final round of the Region V Women’s Basketball Tournament at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center on the campus of Weatherford Junior College.
