FUN AT THE LIBRARY- The Hockley County Library Summer Program had there bagels and drawing event on Wednesday at the library in downtown Levelland. The children that participated in Wednesday’s event drew pictures and had bagels for breakfast. The program continues to see positive numbers in community involvement with their summer program. SUMMER HEALTH EVENT - For the Sundown Library, hosting family events have also been a goal. The recent health event held in June included partnering with the American Heart Association for a CPR training. Attendees were treated to a free at-home training kit, provided by a joint grant with AHA and the FMH Foundation. SUMMER HEALTH EVENT
SPACE CAMP - The Sundown Library capped of their summer reading program for the month of June with a “Space Camp,” complete with a week’s worth of astronomical events, including themed book clubs and a movie matinee. A highlight was the shuttle added to the Tisdale’s Creative Play Children’s Area for the week. Pictured are Ayden and Alice.
