Whiteface Ag Boosters holding Christmas fundraiser

The Whiteface Ag Boosters Club will be making Christmas dinner a little more exciting with its Christmas smoked ham fundraiser.Orders for the 10-pound bone in spiral sliced ham should be made by Dec. 18; hams are $75. Hams should be picked up on Dec. 23.

LHS SCIENCE CLASS

Dr. Craig Wilson, director of the USDA Future Scientists Program Senior Research Associate at Texas A&M University, recently spent two days inspiring the students in Levelland HS science classes to view the natural world with curiosity and wonder.

Morton ISD, Lion’s Club to hold pancake supper

The Morton ISD and Lion’s Club will be holding a Christmas Concert and Pancake Supper on Dec. 11.The supper will be held in the elementary cafeteria from 5 to 7 p.m. and the high school band concert will kick off in the elementary gym at 7 p.m.Plates are $10 for all you can eat.

LISD elementary students compete in campus UIL

LISD South Elementary ABC each hosted the annual UIL contests with students competing at the campuses in various events including Art Memory, Chess Puzzle, Music Memory, Spelling, Writing, Oral Reading, Storytelling, Number Sense, and Music Memory.

Christmas anticipation

Nothing seems to stir the excitement of anticipation like that of a child for Christmas. It is still vivid in my memory-the difficulty going to sleep on Christmas eve and the eagerness to wake up and rush to the living room to see what was there.
