Bill’s Backpack donations for the month of November

Bill’s Backpack of Levelland continues to take food and monetary donations to restock going forward in to 2024. For the month of November will be breakfast bars. Foods accepted all year include : Pop-Tarts, macaroni &cheese cups, breakfast bars and Pudding cups.

Texas Forest Service celebrates Arber Day holiday

Foresters and staff members from Texas A&M Forest Service celebrated Texas Arbor Day on Nov. 3, with school presentations, tree plantings and tree giveaways across the state. Over 9,600 tree seedlings were given to students, organizations and communities throughout the day.

Miss Caprock Pageant set Nov. 15

The 65th Annual Miss Caprock Scholarship Pageant is slated for 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 (Wednesday) in the Tom T. Hall Production Studio. The winner of the pageant will receive a $750 SPC Scholarship. The first runner-up will receive a $500 SPC Scholarship.

Clovis Horse Sales begin Nov. 17-18

The Clovis Horse Sales will be making their way back to Levelland as the event will be hosted at the Mallet Event Center and Arena, November 17-18. On Friday, November 17, the Clovis Horse Sale Futurity will begin at 10 a.m., followed by roping and cow-horse demonstrations.

Morton band director accepts 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade invitation

Mortons’ Darryl Schwierjohn is set to march in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with The Band Directors Marching Band.

Engagement set for Laney Harmon, Zane Stafford

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harmon are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Laney Harmon to Zane Stafford, son of Keith and DeAnna Stafford. The couple will be married at the First Assembly of God church in Levelland, Texas on December 30th, 2023.

 The First Grade Storytelling did so well there were multiple winners including 1st Place Aviana Villarreal, 3rd Place Jorge Saenz and participation certificates to Izalio Tienda and Clara Campbell.

UIL RESULTS - LHS UIL Director Russell Hill, along with UIL Coaches Northcutt, Lawson and Demel share that several Academic UIL students attended the Fall Fandango at Texas Tech University over the weekend.
