The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court met Monday to discuss various agenda items and hold a budget workshop.After approving the last meeting’s minutes, the court approved monthly bills and claims submitted to the court through July 13.

Sundown Oil Patch Day set for Aug. 8

The Sundown Chamber will be hosting the annual Sundown Oil Patch Day on Aug. 8 at Sunset Park, complete with fun, food and local vendors.Events will kick off with a parade at 9:30 a.m. with lineup at 9 a.m. followed by volleyball, cornhole and ragball tournaments.
