State Sales Tax Revenue totaled $4 Billion in January

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.02 billion in January, two percent less than in January 2023. The majority of January sales tax revenue is based on sales made in December and remitted to the agency in January.

The Levelland Police Department executed an arrest warrant on Tuesday afternoon following a brief standoff that resulted in the arrest of three individuals an no serious injuries reported.

Sausage Festival makes 39th return

Parishioners of St. Michael Catholic Church in Levelland will serve up their famous Germanstyle link sausage at the 39th Annual Sausage Lovers Festival Sunday, Feb. 4 in the Parish Hall at 318 E. Washington St.

TIME FOR SLIMS - Construction of the highly anticipated Slim Chickens restaurant located at 102 N College Avenue is slated for its grand opening February 19. The opening of the restaurant is expected to create 30 to 40 jobs for the community.
