1/24/2024 - LEVELLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL - 3:10 P.M A LPD resource officer was approached by a counselor at LMS and was advised that two students were planning on meeting at a park to fight. The officer was informed that one of the kids threatened the other by telling him he would bring a gun.

Texas raises cervical health awareness

As part of National Cervical Health Awareness Month this January, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission is encouraging women to get screened for cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is the thirdleading cancer diagnosis for women ages 20-39 and fifthleading for women ages 40-49.

1/28/2024 - DISPATCHED 1:48 P.M. - CLEARED 2:16 P.M. OPDYKE The LFD received a call reporting the smell of smoke or something burning at a residence located 100 block of Mandy Circle. Upon arrival, fire personnel discovered the breaker panel to be shorting out.

Texas drought letting up, late-spring forecast dry
