1/10/2024 – DISPATCHED 2:12 P.M. – CLEARED 2:35 P.M. – LEVELLAND The LFD received a call of an alarm going off at a residence located within the 200 block of Tanglewood Lane. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a false alarm.

LPD Report

1/9/2024 – 1300 block of Avenue H – 3:41 A.M. Officers with the LPD responded to the Law Enforcement Center lobby in reference to a female individual wanting to turn herself in. As a result, the individual was arrested on a local warrant. 1/7/2024 - 100 block of Poplar Street - 1:23 A.M.

HCSO Report

1/7/2024 - SUNDOWN Dispatch with the Levelland Police Department advised a deputy with the HCSO of an assault that had already occurred in the 300 block of West 7th Street. 1/4/2024-HOCKLEYCOUNTY The HCSO took a report of possible fraud.

Amy Wood earns 2024 NSBA seat

Amy Wood, founder and CEO of Flint Avenue, in Lubbock and resident of Levelland has been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for the National Small Business Association (NSBA) for 2024.

RRC makes winter weather preparations

The Rail Road Commission has taken steps to prepare for sub-freezing temperatures that have taken a grip of Texas. Residents and operators are encouraged to keep an eye on weather forecasts and safety alerts.
