8/6/2023 - DISPATCH 10:12 P.M. - CLEARED 10:32 P.M. LEVELLAND The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a residence located near 10th Street and Avenue E in regard to a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel discovered a small pit in a backyard.

Adopt-a-Lobo program underway

The Levelland Academic Beginning Center is continuing their Adopt-a-Lobo program for Pre-K through Fourth Grade students. Perks of joining the program include an Adopt-a-Lobo shirt, free home games, the option to run through the Lobo Football tunnel and connect with a high school mentor.

Whiteface CISD free meal policy for 2023-2024

Whiteface Consolidated Independent School District will be implementing CEP under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2023-2024 school year. Under CEP, all students receive breakfast and lunch at no charge. This year, households will not have to submit an application.

The Levelland Chamber of Commerce has listed several meetings and events for the month August. The Marigolds will hold their monthly meeting August 10, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at City Hall. The Keep Levelland Beautiful meeting will be August 21, from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., at City Hall.
