Levelland Tennis Pack earns 13 district honors

The fall team tennis awards for 4A District 4 were recently announced and the Levelland Tennis Pack received 13 honors.

The 10 student athletes that received Academic All-District honors for the Pack were senior Nathan Ellis, senior William Canon, senior Brady Houston, senior Zackary Lopez, senior Teagan Brothers, junior Fabiola Hernandez, junior Daniela Perez-Garcia, sophomore Kimberly Campos, freshman Angelina Rivera and freshman Isabel Canales.

Congratulations to all of them for not only beating their district foes on the tennis court but also for dominating them in the classroom.

Along with receiving academic honors, Zackary Lopez also received an Honorable Mention in the Boy’s Singles.

Junior Diego Franco also received an Honorable Mention in the Boy’s Singles along with being named the Co-Newcomer of Year.

Levelland tennis was well-represented amongst the district honorees, which was to Head Coach Jeff Braziel’s liking.

“We’re thrilled to recognize our program’s outstanding tennis athletes and teams this season,” Braziel said. “Their commitment, sportsmanship and drive for excellence have set a new standard for success both on and off the court.”

It will be exciting to see the Pack not only try to meet that new standard but beat it in the upcoming spring season.
