The Sundown Roughnecks found some success through the air Friday night, but an inconsistent rushing attack made it difficult to keep pace with Seagraves in a 36-20 loss.
Sundown’s quarterback Marco Landa completed 10 of 16 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown, with Angel Landa leading the Roughnecks with five catches for 62 yards and a score. The Roughnecks finished with just 47 net rushing yards on 28 attempts.
Jeremiah Reyes provided most of the production on the ground, carrying 12 times for 43 yards and a touchdown as the Roughnecks dropped to 0-5 on the season.
Looking to capture the first win, Sundown will remain at home versus Olton at 7 p.m. on Oct. 2.
