Torrance Randall Riley

Torrance Randall Riley, 86, of Levelland, passed from this life December 13, 2022, in Lubbock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Riley; and parents, Tommie Torrance “T.T.” and Jewell Riley.

A memorial service were held Friday, January 6, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Levelland, with Keeney Dickenson officiating.

Randall was born November 13, 1936, in Clovis, New Mexico.

He graduated from Clovis High School in 1954.

After graduation, he began a career in the banking industry, working for several banks throughout New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

While working at First National Bank in Levelland, he met his future wife, Linda Kay Everitt, whom he married August 14, 1965, and they had two sons.

In 1978, Randall left the banking business and started a career in the oilfield, where he worked for the next 20 years.

After retiring from the oilfield, he worked for Levelland Independent School District, driving charter buses for Whirlwind Tours out of Clovis and G Boren Services in Lubbock.

He joined the New Mexico National Guard in 1954, where he served for nine years.

Randall received his associate’s degree from South Plains College, served on the Levelland Noon Lions Club for eight years and was involved with Little Dribblers and Little League Baseball.

He enjoyed Lionel Train Sets, photography and clocks.

Randall was active in the First Baptist Church Choir, the Sonshine Choir and Men’s Ensemble.

He is survived by two sons, Tommie and wife, Christie Riley of Levelland and Chris and wife, Keri Riley of Sundown; two sisters, Marylin Hendricks and husband, the late Wendall of Farmington, New Mexico and Charlotte and Don Devers of Carlsbad; five grandchildren: Trace Riley of Shallowater, Chandler Shillig of Lubbock, Sarah and Troy Holdman of Sundown and Karlee and Kadee Riley, both of Sundown; one great-grandchild, Stevi Holdman of Sundown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
