The Whiteface Antelopes basketball team took on the West Texas Tornadoes this past Tuesday night at home, easily handling them 72-29.
The Antelopes were fir ing on all cylinders in the blowout win as they had 25 assists as a team, while shooting 52% from the field and 33% from three-point range.
Leading scorers in the impressive offensive showing were Isaak Soliz with 24 points, Cesar Chavez with 18 points, Victor Borunda with nine points and Jaxon Hodge with eight points.
“Our guys did a great job of playing team ball,” Antelopes Head Coach Brandon Flores said. “They are doing a good job of playing in transition and executing our offense in the half court. Defense has been better in each game. I’m excited to see our growth over the next few weeks.”
Following the win, the Antelopes improve to 4-1 in the young season. After a road matchup against Kress over the weekend, they’ll return home on Tuesday for a game versus New Home at 7:30 p.m.
