The Levelland High School Tennis PACK opened their spring season at Big Spring this past Friday, which was after a lastminute competition change from Lubbock to Big Spring due to ice.
Levelland varsity tennis showed adaptability, conquering the last-minute change, cold conditions and stiff competition, to bring home three medals.
“Nathan Ellis and Fabiola Hernandez took second in mixed doubles, after falling just short in the championship in three sets to a really strong Big Spring team,” Levelland Head Tennis Coach Jeffrey Braziel said. “Daisy Perez and Diego Franco took third in mixed doubles, dropping a close one, 8-5, to the eventual champions. William Canon and Brady Houston took third in the boys doubles, after falling to a tough Brown- field team in the semis. Overall, we are beyond proud of the adaptability and drive each and every player showed in the first set of tournaments for the spring season.”
After opening the season in a great way, the PACK is back in action on Friday at the Borger Bulldog Invitational in Amarillo.
