PACK reaches more milestones at Randall Love Tournament

The Levelland High School tennis PACK competed at the Randall Love Tournament in Amarillo this past Friday, earning several noteworthy placings and breaking many milestones.

The PACK was led by the duo of Michael Canon and Brady Houston, who won the Boys Doubles Championship.

In the Girls Doubles, Madi Almager and Teagan Brothers won the Consolation Championship, and in the Girls Singles, Lilly Alvarado won the Consolation Championship.

And even greater than those finishes on the day were several milestone performances, starting with Reese Payton, who reached 100 career wins on the day.

Meanwhile, Nathan Ellis and Michael Canon both moved up the all-time wins list for Levelland tennis, with Ellis moving into second and Canon moving into fourth.

Following the huge day for the PACK, Levelland Head Tennis Coach Jeffrey Braziel gave his thoughts.

“This group just keeps on shining as they continue to keep showing up and showing out. I can’t express how much of a blessing coaching this group of athletes is,” Coach Braziel said. “From team to individual success they really have created something special, their leadership and support of one another, as well as the work they have put in, is truly above the rest.”

After back-to-back milestone filled meets to start the season, the PACK is set to host the PACK Invitational this Thursday through Saturday, as they look to keep the momentum rolling.
