Whitharral steamrolls Kress, 50-0

The Whitharral Panthers relied on a stifling defense to shut out the visiting Kress Kangaroos in a 45-point rule shortened UIL Class 1A six-man football game last Friday. Whitharral Head Football Coach Jeremy Holt said, “I was real pround of the response our kids had from last week to this week.

Indians top Chiefs, 43-14

The Morton Indians improve to 2-0, after defeating the Crosbyton Chiefs on the road, 4314. The game started with Morton scoring on a touchdown pass and putting them in the lead 6-0, after a missed two-point conversion. From there the Indians defense got a stop on the Chiefs and got the ball back.

RHS slip to 1-1 after defeat Fri.

The Ropes Eagles traveled to Eunice, New Mexico to face the 2-0 Cardinals where they eventually fell, 48-6. With both teams scoring early, Ropes’ Hayden Torres scored on a five-yard run with the team missing the extra point. The Cardinals held a 7-6 lead in the in the first quarter.

Lobos take step back against Snyder, 30-0

Dropping to 0-2 on the season, the Levelland Lobos were shutout 30-0, in Snyder against the Tigers Friday. A lack of offensive stability and production required the Lobo defense to set up camp on the field the majority of the game, resulting in the Snyder offense putting together 400-yard game.

Panthers fall short in comeback

The Whitharral Panthers couldn’t quite dig out of a 22 first quarter hole in the UIL Class 1A six-man football opener against the host Springlake-Earth Wolverines last Friday. “Springlake-Earth came out and got on us early,” said Whitharral Head Football Coach Jeremy Holt.

Ropes Eagles earn road win

The Ropes Eagles earned their first win of the season against the Boys Ranch Roughriders under first year Head Football Coach Beau Riker. The Eagles had a good team win as they beat the Roughriders with a score of 31-12, scoring in every quarter of the game.

Whiteface Antelopes dominate Nazareth

The Whiteface Antelopes had a little trouble in the first quarter, but got rolling in the second on their way to a 58-12 win over the visiting Nazareth Swifts in UIL Class 1A six-man football action last Friday.
