Week two of the Levelland News Press 2025 Football Contest has concluded and the results are in.This week’s winner once again came down to a tiebreaker score as two contestants went 16-4 on their matchup picks with only two points separating them.

The Levelland Hockley County News Press 2025 Football Preview Magazine is now available.The magazine covers Levelland, Whiteface, Whitharral, Ropes, Smyer, Sundown, Anton and Morton football.It includes preview stories, individual and team photos, season schedules and team information for each team.

Lady Eagles soar in doubleheader

The Ropes Lady Eagles soared in their Tuesday night doubleheader, winning 2-1 against Vega and 2-0 against Littlefield.Their set scores in the wins were 25-21, 20-25 and 25-18 against Vega, and 25-20 and 25-21 against Littlefield.

Injuries haunt Lobos in Dalhart loss

The Levelland Lobos officially kicked off their 2025 football season on the road at Dalhart this past Friday, falling short 55-15.The lopsided loss looks rough from an outsider perspective, but if you watched the game, you could see that injuries badly plagued the Lobos all night.

The Ropes Lady Eagles volleyball team played a doubleheader against Wellman Union and Borden County this past Tuesday, sweeping both teams.They played Wellman Union first, winning the three sets 25-13, 25-17 and 25-16.
