Levelland Lobos take down Monahans Loboes in a close game

The Levelland Lobos traveled to Monahans to take on the Loboes where Levelland won in a close game 59-56.In the first quarter it was Monahans that won the scoring battle 13-9 taking a four point lead going into the second quarter.

They say it’s hard to be a good team twice in the same season.The no. 2 Whiteface Antelopes proved it wasn’t impossible with an 82-36 win over the no. 7 Borden County Coyotes last Saturday in the UIL high school six-man football playoffs in Lockney.

The Ropes Eagles faced-off against the Wink Wildcats Friday in Big Spring for the team’s regional round of playoffs where the Eagles outlasted the Wildcats 21-14, as the home team.It was a defensive oriented game.

The Whiteface Antelopes wasted no time in routing the Booker Kiowas 66-16 in the area round of the UIL High School Sixman Football Playoffs last Friday in Tulia.The game was called at halftime due to the 45-point rule.

The Ropes Eagles took on the Farwell Steers this past Friday night in Sundown for the Area Round of Playoffs where the Eagles won 28-0, as the away team.Ropes took full control of the game in the first quarter where they took a 21-0 lead with their rushing game.
