AREA CHAMPS - The Sundown Roughnecks beat the Wellington Skyrockets in two games in their series to become the Area Champions this past Friday and Saturday. The beat Wellington the first game 10-3 then dominated the second game by beating them 19-5. The Roughnecks are mocing onto their Reginal Quarterfinal round against the New Home Leopards this Thursday at Frenship at 4 p.m.

The Sundown Roughnecks took on the Wellington Skyrockets for their UIL Playoff Area Round where the Roughnecks won in two games.Sundown 10, Wellington 3Sundown won the first game of the series 10-3 after a very slow start to the game from both sides.

Roughettes end their season against Forsan

The Sundown Roughettes took on the Forsan Lady Buffs this past Friday and Saturday for UIL Softball play in the Regional Quarterfinals where the Roughettes lost in two games.Forsan 7, Sundown 1For the first game of the series Forsan was able to take down Sundown 7-1 on Friday.
TIME FOR FAMILY - Following her 40-year career teaching and coaching, Nelda Munoz stated she is ready to focus on her family and spend more time with her children and grandchildren. Munoz thanked her family for the support she has received from them during her teaching and coaching career. Nelda Munoz retires after 40year career teaching, coaching

Following a 40-year career teaching and coaching, Levelland’s Nelda Munoz has decided to step away from the profession and enter retirement.A Levelland resident, Munoz began teaching in 1984 but the open positions within the district were slim for her area.

Loboettes season comes to end against Krum

The Levelland Loboettes took on the Krum Lady Cats this past Friday for UIL Softball Playoffs where the Loboettes season ended after two games against the Lady Cats. Krum 11, Levelland 0 The first game of the day Levelland lost 11-0, after they were held scoreless and had a disaster third inning.
